La Escuelita (The Little School), SOS Ledges:

We received a letter from a teacher at Brunson Elementary. The teacher had written home to the parents of a student in her class because she was concerned about her math skills. The teacher wrote in her letter that she wanted the parents to get their daughter into the afterschool program at the Little School because she knew she would get homework help in the program. The program has been to capacity since the school year started, however, after the staff read the letter from the teacher and saw the letter and drawing from the student, they requested that we allow her to attend because of how much the little girl demonstrated that she wanted and needed to attend the program. Her letter said, "I want to come back to the Little School because I need help with my homework. I want to come back to the little school because I can meet new friends."
